Cobourg is the closer plant for Ottawa

Beneco’s Cobourg plant sits at 520 William Street, directly on the Highway 401 corridor about 340 km west of Ottawa — a straight, single-highway run with no GTA traffic in the middle. For an Ottawa customer that usually means a cheaper lane and a more predictable delivery window than shipping out of Toronto.

Because freight is the largest variable cost on a carton order going to Ottawa, most eastern Ontario customers are better served by fewer, fuller shipments: a full production run stored and released on a schedule, rather than several partial loads. That is worth working out at quote stage, not after the job is on press.

Everything is offset printed, die cut, folded and glued in Beneco’s own plants on 18pt to 24pt SBS and recycled paperboard, with foil stamping, embossing, spot UV, soft touch, aqueous coating and window patching available. Browse by box style and industry.

Bilingual packaging

Packaging sold in Ottawa and across the Ottawa river into Gatineau has to carry English and French on the same carton, often in small type on a narrow panel. That is a registration and prepress problem more than a printing one. Beneco is a G7 Master Printing Facility with GMI colour management, and handles bilingual artwork versions, multi-SKU ganging and small-type registration as routine work.
